Resident Reviews

submitted by Leanna R. - |Recommended: YesLoyal resident for three years...but time to move on — I've been happy to live here for 5 years because the complex and apartments are much nicer than it appears on the surface. I DO recommend living here and I am only moving out because I'm ready for a private room and fewer roommates. There are only a few things that have disappointed me about Centennial and I hope that the management will make better decisions for the complex. Rent has been raised a couple of times and the only improvements I have seen thus far are totally unnecessary. I don't feel like my money is being used wisely. Yesterday they replaced all of our door knobs with new ones of a totally different style. None of our old ones were broken. It's a small thing, but WHY was it necessary to change our door knobs Why not put that money to a better cause I live in a really nice apartment that I have worked hard to keep in good shape. But our dishwasher isn't well attached to the counter. Our oven buttons rarely work. Our bathroom sinks need some new caulk. A new paintjob with something other than white would do WONDERS to make the apartments nicer. I would rather my money go to a can of paint than to a new doorknob.

However, the utilities are really high and we are paying for things that don't even properly function like the cable and the at times the internet. It's a decent place to live though.

Of course it isn't as fancy as more expensive apartments I've been in, but I haven't had any significant complaints while living here. I'm a poor college student and I am thoroughly satisfied with the experience I have had for my money. Some perks the water and air change temperature as desired, my roommates are great, the ward has been really fun, we have a huge TV and a pool hot tub, and more To be fair, it would be nice to get the carpets cleaned or replaced, and I have had to kill a few stray ants, but these problems are small compared to all the positive aspects. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to a friend.

The large number of residents compacted in a single block is great fun for the spring and summer. Little more is needed beyond the provided pool, field, and rec room. However, I am daunted by the idea of staying here longer than a single term semester. The apartment fixtures are not the greatest and maintenance has required my patience at times. I would say the price of rent matches the standard of living.

I would say the apartments are pretty small and fairly used, but I would say it is definitely worth it's price

My only complaints are how incredibly cold it gets in the basement apartments. Even in the summer, its colder than it is outside almost 100 of the time. The place is also pretty old, and it shows. From the loose outlets, to the loose doors, to the crusty looking corners, this place is OLD. But the neighbors are great, the pool is lovely, and parking is manageable if you don't work late.

The office is friendly and helpful and they plan activities that promote a social atmosphere. Maintenance requests were always addressed very quickly, and lots of wonderful, down-to-earth people live here

We have some good amenities like the hot tub and the maintenance crew are incredible. They respond so quickly and have been incredibly helpful several times. The people that live hear are generally down to earth and a lot of fun to live around. There are occassionally some fun community events like nerf gun fights and dance parties. Occasionally people can be a little bit loud late at night, but it doesn't happen often. And parking can be difficult around the complex late at night but we do have overflow parking. We do have one of BYU's Ryde shuttles that stops just half a block away from us so that has been very convenient. All things considered I have loved living here and don't plan on moving any time soon so long as I don't have to.
